Letter: Help our vets

Once again it is time to remember the hospitalized veterans at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital. The annual Christmas Gift Shop is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 121 of River Falls.

The Gift Shop will be held Nov. 4-25 at Freeman Drug. Donations can be dropped off anytime during that time.

This Gift Shop is for all hospitalized veterans to select Christmas gifts for their families at no cost to the patients. The donated items must be new!

The gifts are wrapped and boxed for delivery in time for Christmas. Money donations to help defray the cost of postage are also needed.

Items needed are: Sweatshirts for men, women and children; flannel shirts; three-piece bath towel sets; pillowcases; dishtowels; etc.
