From Serbia with love

Journal reporter/proofreader Vera Roy-Stoeberl (front row, center) returned to River Falls last week after a three-week trip to Serbia where she met relatives on a branch of her family tree that she verifiably hadn’t known existed prior to this past June.
Here four generations of family members gathered at the home of Roy-Stoeberl’s half-sister, Nada Zaric, who sits to the right of Roy-Stoeberl, in Zaric’s front yard in city of Obrenovac, near the Serbian capital of Belgrade. The two women share the same father.
Prior to her visit, Roy-Stoeberl had 50 T-shirts and two infant “onesies” printed by River Falls Corporate Apparel for this branch of her family and also for other relatives on her mother’s side of the family tree. Translated, the T-shirts read: “Someone in River Falls, Wisconsin, loves me.”
