The new Best Western in downtown River Falls is offering several familiar hotel amenities to the community.
Something unique to the specific facility, however, is Junior’s Bar and Restaurant.
Junior’s is located in the southeast corner of the new hotel and is open for meals from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday.
“We offer a variety of foods,” said Dustin Hanson, food and beverage director for the hotel and the restaurant’s general manager. “From steak and walleye to what we think is the best burger in town, you can find it all at Junior’s.”
People involved with setting up Junior’s believe the atmosphere sets it apart.
“It’s a fun, smoke-free place where you can go with friends and have a few drinks,” Hanson said. “Or bring your family and have a reasonably priced dinner.”
Hanson also said that Junior’s prides itself on how clean it can keep its facility.
“We’re clean, so there is no need to hold your breath when you use the bathroom,” he commented.
The menu at Junior’s is extensive. One staple item is a hand-pattied burger.
“You can get one of our hand-pattied burgers served on a fresh baked Kaiser roll,” Hanson said. “It’s not the same old frozen burger patty that you get at every other restaurant.”
Hanson said he was interested in being a part of Junior’s Bar and Restaurant because the establishment offers River Falls a unique alternative to other available eateries and bars in town.
“Junior’s wants to be a place where you can drink an ice cold, smoking martini, a Junior’s bloody Mary filled with all the fixings,” Hanson commented, “or, for people like me, a frosty glass of beer.”
Junior’s is located at 100 Spring Street. Call 425-1045.
