ELLSWORTH: Dental clinic for children
The Pierce County Public Health Department offers a preventive dental clinic twice a month for residents age 2- 18. This preventive dental checkup may include a dental exam, cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-rays and sealants. Medical Assistance (MA) covers the cost for eligible clients and those on Badger Care and Healthy Start. A sliding fee scale is available for families whose income is 185% or less poverty (ex: $3269/mo. for a family of four). The clinic is located at 412 W. ELMWOOD: Dairy records sought
Preparations for the 59th Pierce County Dairy Recognition Banquet are underway. It will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Elmwood Auditorium. Dairy farmers who utilize AgSource dairy management and testing services do not need to send in their records, Ag Source handles that step for herd owners. Other farmers on official testing programs will need to send their records ending June 30, 2009, to the UW Extension Office by Friday, Sept. 4. NEW RICHMOND: “Spamalot” tickets now available
“The Frog Prince of Spamalot” will be presented by Willow River Players at the New Richmond High School Little Theatre on Sept. 18, 19, 26 at 7 p.m. and on Sept. 19, 20, 26, 27 at 2 p.m. For audiences of all ages, the story centers around Hyronomous A. Frog who doesn’t quite fit in with “life in the bog.” He needs to find his way back to being a Prince. This children’s show is full of laughter and wonder, and is sure to please “children” of all ages. Cast members are from River Falls, New Richmond, Amery, Roberts, Star Prairie, Clear Lake, Somerset, Hudson and Stillwater.
