Ray Van Allen was present at last week’s River Falls Town Board meeting to address another complaint of dog barking on his property at N8182 950th St.

The recent complaint came from Brad Gilbertson who was also present at the meeting. Gilbertson told the Board that the tenants he rents property to next door to Van Allen have indicated they want to move out because of the constant barking.

Gilbertson said he contacted a lawyer because of loss of income if his tenants move out and he inferred that the lawyer feels the town should be held liable because Town Board members were aware of the problem and did not get it resolved.

Chairwoman Diana Smith said she feels this was an isolated incident and that Van Allen has been very cooperative and diligent about keeping the animal indoors. Supervisor Tom Sitz also commented that the town is not liable for dog issues.
