Founded in 1969 as an effort to showcase the best of Wisconsin’s youth, the non-profit program seeks out, trains and displays the talent of musically gifted young people throughout the state.

To date, nearly 700 artists have participated in the program, often moving into related careers as performers, music educators, college professors, entertainers and choreographers.

The Kids perform daily at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis and perform at many other venues including conventions and festivals. The group usually presents about 70 shows during summer months.

Kids also staff an office at the state fairgrounds.
