Letter: Cheap shot writer despicable

Bob tried to step down not once, but twice in the last year from the fire chief position. Not only did Bernie Van Osdale talk him into staying, but so did the fire department officers and many of the members, too.

Obviously the author of the ‘cheap shots’ at Bob is a River Falls firefighter. Not only are you chicken for not signing your work, but also immature and unprofessional.

Lord help us, if or when you are ever in command at a fire.

I, for one, would like to thank Bob Schwalen for sharing his time, knowledge, experience and common sense with this community as the River Falls Fire Chief.

Thanks, Bob, for keeping this fire district and fire personnel safe!
