Mother, son hurt in Pierce County crash
Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. there was a one-car accident on Hwy. 35 in front of the Red Wing airport. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reports that 42-year-old Connie Jo Rother, Hager City, lost control of her car and rolled into the south ditch.By: Phil Pfuehler, River Falls Journal
Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. there was a one-car accident on Hwy. 35 in front of the Red Wing airport. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reports that 42-year-old Connie Jo Rother, Hager City, lost control of her car and rolled into the south ditch.
At the time Rother had a three-year-old son who was restrained in his car seat in the back.
Both Rother and the boy sustained minor injuries. They were taken to Fairview Red Wing Hospital in Minnesota.
The accident is still under investigation. Ellsworth firefighters and Red Wing, Minn., EMTs assisted at the scene.
