Lindsey R. Paurus, 28

Lindsey Ruth Paurus, 28, of River Falls, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Kinnic Long Term Care, as a result of complications associated with M.S.

Lindsey was diagnosed with M.S. at an early age. She lived her life to the fullest and never complained of her disease.

She was born on May 3, 1981, in Hibbing, Minn., the daughter of Steven and Janine (Lepinski) Paurus. Lindsey was a graduate of River Falls High School.

Lindsey is survived by her parents, Steven and Janine of River Falls; sisters: Jamie Paurus of River Falls, Heidi (Brian) Lyrek of St. Cloud, Minn., and Heather Paurus of River Falls; nieces and nephews: Adrian and Alayah Paurus, and Danielle and Bryce Lyrek; and maternal grandmother, Ruth Lepinski of Wadena, Minn. Lindsey is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Her grandparents, David Lepinski, Clifford and Mildred Paurus; aunt, Joyce Loween; and cousin, John Hebert, preceded her in death.

A funeral service for Lindsey was held Tuesday, May 12, at the River Falls United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Janet Ellinger officiating.

Burial was at St. Bridget’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Guy Sharpe, Paul Lepinski, Adrian Paurus, David Paurus, Duane Paurus, and Jerry Savaloja. Honorary pallbearer was Brian Lyrek.
