CITY OF RIVER FALLS: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS - WASSON LANE TRAIL PROJECT

WASSON LANE TRAIL - RIVER FALLS, WI

CITY PROJECT NO. 09-02-WT

The City of River Falls will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 222 Lewis Street, River Falls, Wisconsin, until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in Council Chambers of City Hall, for the furnishing of all labor and material for the construction of the Wasson Lane Trail project which includes the following items in the approximate quantities indicated:

  • 394 CY ............ Common Excavation

  • 660 CY ............ Granular Borrow

  • 710 Ton .......... Crushed Aggregate Base

  • 262 Ton .......... Asphaltic Surface Trail

  • 72 LF ............. Concrete Curb and Gutter

  • 336 LF ........... Storm Sewer Pipe

  • 23 VF ............. Storm Sewer Structure

  • 4450 SY ........... Turf Establishment

    1 LS ................. Traffic Control

    Bids shall be on the forms provided for that purpose and according to the Contract Documents prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. dated May 12, 2009.

    The Bidding Documents may be seen at the issuing office of Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. located at 156 High Street, Suite 300, New Richmond, WI, 54017, and at the Engineering Department of the City of River Falls located at 222 Lewis Street, Suite 225, River Falls, WI, 54022.

    No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of River Falls, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the total amount of the Contract within ten (10) days after the award of said Contract.

    Bids shall be directed to the City Clerk securely sealed and endorsed upon the outside wrapper, “BID FOR WASSON LANE TRAIL.” The City of River Falls reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
