A 32-year-old River Falls man was killed in a motorcycle accident when he drove off CTH E Monday evening. His 31-year-old female passenger was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with undetermined injuries.
The single-vehicle accident occurred on Highway E north of 690th Avenue in the town of River Falls at 7:19 p.m.
Pierce sheriff's deputies said the motorcycle was northbound on CTH E when it left the roadway on the east side, traveled in the ditch and then overturned, ejecting the occupants into a field. Speed appears to be a factor in the accident, the department said.
Neither the motorcycle operator nor his passenger, also a River Falls resident, was wearing a helmet.
Assisting the department at the scene was River Falls Area Fire & Ambulance.
The name of the victim was not yet available.
