Craig F. Ahlman, 41, 525 90th St., was charged earlier this week by the St. Croix County district attorney with two felonies for sexual assault of a child under age 16. The female victim is related to Ahlman and was 11 at the time the alleged assaults took place.
Ahlman also faces three felony charges for possession of child pornography on his basement computer.
According to the criminal complaint against Ahlman, the sexual assaults against the girl occurred while she was staying at the Ahlman’s town of Kinnickinnic home around last Thanksgiving and Christmas.
In one instance, she was lying in bed at night watching TV. In the other, she was lying on a couch watching TV. Both times Ahlman is alleged to have touched the girl on the bottom, breasts and vagina.
The girl, who pretended to sleep, was very scared about the touching. She later phoned her mother who came immediately to pick her up from the Ahlman’s home.
The complaint says that Ahlman met the mother while standing on the steps of the house and told her that he was sorry, that he was the worst person in the world.
St. Croix County Sheriff’s investigators got a search warrant for the Ahlman’s home in January. It was then that they claimed to have recovered pornographic images on Ahlman’s computer hard drive showing very young girls. Some of the so-called porn files go back two years.
