Mike Cameron homered twice, and Rickie Weeks hit a two-run blast.
Cameron also doubled, and drove in three runs on Jackie Robinson Day, in which players from both teams wore Robinson’s No. 42.
The Brewers never trailed. They scored five runs in the sixth inning to end a 2 -4 home-stand on a winning note.
Milwaukee, which came into the game with the National League’s lowest batting average, out-hit Cincy 9-7. And they went 3-8 with runners in scoring position.
Chris Dickerson hit a two-run homer for the Reds, who ended a three-game winning streak.
Braden Looper got a quality start for the Brew Crew, giving up three runs on six hits in six innings.
He struck out five, and got the win to go 1-0.
Micah Owings gave up four runs in five innings to take the loss in his first start since coming off a shoulder injury from last season.
J.J. Hardy sat out the game for Milwaukee with a stiff back.
The Brewers are now 3-6.
They’re off today, and will open a weekend series against the Mets in New York Friday night.
