The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search warrant Friday resulting in the arrest of Rodney Christopherson, 45, Beldenville, for receiving stolen property and multiple drug-related counts.

Charges against him include operating under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property.

According to Lt. Dennis Sorenson, the drug-related counts came from the investigation of a suspicious vehicle parked at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery, located approximately one mile from the Christopherson residence. Using information from that arrest, Sorenson investigated further, helping investigators get what they needed to obtain a search warrant for

Christopherson’s residence at W4781 CTH N. The search resulted in recovering approximately $30,000 in stolen property, along with a small amount of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The recovered property had been reported stolen through police departments in Maplewood, Oakdale and Hastings, Minn., along with the Chippewa Falls Police Department and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Some of the biggest items, Sorenson said, were an ATV, cargo trailer, small motorcycle and a riding lawn mower. The smaller items consisted of mainly tools.

Chrisotpherson was being held in Pierce County Jail early this week on a $5,000 cash bond as a result of the initial arrest. As of Monday afternoon, Christopherson had only been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia to manufacture methamphetamine, and possession with intent to sell amphetamine.
