CITY OF RIVER FALLS: NOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCES

AT ITS FEBRUARY 24, 2009 MEETING, THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVER FALLS ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCES:

1. Ordinance 2009-2 – Repealing Chapter 15.24 and to Create Chapter 17.120 -Floodplain Ordinance. The purpose of the ordinance is to comply with the Department of Natural Resources’ directive to amend the City’s floodplain zoning ordinance to be in compliance with the new Flood Insurance Rate Maps that have been prepared by FEMA.

2. Ordinance No. 2009-3 – Amending §8.36.040 A. and 8.36.120 A. and B. of the City Code; Solid Waste Collection and Disposal. The purpose was to amend information in the code regarding waste management in terms of direct billing and other items.
