Letter: Can’t forget meals

Thank you so much for last week’s Senior Center story by Vera Roy-Stoeberl, but I am afraid in my conversation with Vera I omitted relating to her the importance that home delivered meals play.

Faye Simone is the nutrition site manager and is in charge of packing the meals for home-bound seniors. These meals are prepared in The Lutheran Home kitchen and are then brought to the kitchen at the WelLHaven Senior Apartments.

These meals are delivered by volunteers (mostly seniors), every day except Saturday, Sunday and holidays. These are the same meals that the seniors enjoy when they dine in the WelLHaven dining room.

We are so fortunate to have the facilities of The Lutheran Home in the overall operation of the River Falls Senior Center.
