It was reported in the June 23, 1977, edition of the Journal, the grand opening of Gemini Jewelers, owned by Darryl Hetrick.
The store, located in the River Falls Mall,109 N. Main St., was to be open Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and until 9 p.m. Thursdays. Free roses were given to lady customers during the grand opening, and 20% off all stock items. Ear piercings were also available for $7.
From 1978-1988 Gemini Jewelers was located at 119 S. Main St., from 1988-1999 at 118 S. Main St., and from 1999 to the present at 120 S. Main St. Note the other businesses located in River Falls Mall along with Gemini Jewelers: Shoes and Sports, Lancer, Fashion Garden, Kirby Co., Photo Fair, Country Road, Sound, Sight &Sports, and Elenore’s Fabrics.
