Hudson woman hospitalized after rollover

A Hudson woman had to be freed from her car by firefighters after she veered from northbound Hwy. 35 just past Radio Road and overturned, coming to rest in front of Melgard Monument Co.

Emergency crews from River Falls assisted St. Croix County deputies at a one-car rollover around 10:25 a.m., Tuesday, on the front lawn of Melgard Monument Co.

The crash sent the single female occupant to River Falls Area Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Lynn Sabin, 55, of Hudson was pinned by the steering wheel and had to be extricated, according to the sheriff's department.

The crash occurred just minutes after fire and ambulance personnel had been dispatched to another possible injury accident about 500 feet south of this one. That southbound driver crossed the Hwy. 35 median and spun onto the northbound lane, apparently recovering and leaving the scene.
