Duty, honor, country is what Sen. John McCain has stood for his whole life, as a son and a grandson of Navy admirals. He, himself, was a Naval Academy graduate, a fighter pilot, prisoner of war for over five years, served in the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate for 24 years.
He conceded his campaign loss very graciously to the new president-elect and said he would assist him in any way he could.
As a World War II and Korean vet, I found the cartoon in the Nov. 6 Journal very disturbing. Sen. McCain is a great American hero who deserves better treatment than a cartoonist’s “poison pen.”
