Warrens man awaits charges after ATV accident that kills one
A Warrens man is awaiting charges in a weekend crash near Black River Falls that killed an all-terrain vehicle rider and injured her granddaughter.
A Warrens man is awaiting charges in a weekend crash near Black River Falls that killed an all-terrain vehicle rider and injured her granddaughter.
Authorities said a car driven by Phillip Holloway, 23, hit an ATV driven by Karen Gibson, 60, of Brodhead last Saturday.
Gibson died, and her granddaughter was taken to a La Crosse hospital.
Authorities say alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
Holloway has charges pending in Monroe County for second-offense drunken driving, driving with a prohibited alcohol level, and refusing to take a breath test. That case dates back to June.
