Helen Ahlborn, 60

Helen Marie Ahlborn, 60, of Oshkosh, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born in St. Paul, Minn., on March 6, 1947, the daughter of Almont and Edna Hanson.

On July 2, 1966, she married Marvin J. Ahlborn in Prescott.

Helen was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, the church of which her husband is the pastor. She enjoyed scrap-booking, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her husband, Rev. Marvin Ahlborn; three sons: Nathan Ahlborn, Matthew (Stephanie) Ahlborn, and Timothy (Rebecca) Ahlborn; six brothers: Allen Hanson, Mark (Peg) Hanson, Ricky (Terri) Hanson, Andre (Elizabeth) Hanson, Doug (Barbara) Hanson, and Craig (Lori) Hanson; four grandchildren: Nicholas Botic, Ripley Ahlborn, Serena Ahlborn, Logan Ahlborn, adapted daughter and granddaughter, Jamie and Jordan Ingalls.

She was blessed by a family and Christian family that loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Kenard Hanson.

The funeral for Helen will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.

There will be another service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Luther Memorial Church in River Falls. Visitation in River Falls will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church and School.
