Letter: Candidate has right background

In the weeks ahead, we will have the important responsibility of electing two new members to the River Falls School Board.

We all agree that our school board members must have a commitment to quality education. We need school board members who are also committed to fiscal reasonability.

Stacy Johnson Myers is that kind of person. Stacy has been a volunteer in the community and a parent volunteer in her kids’ school.

Stacy attends school board meetings and has been a member of the community advisory board that helped select our new superintendent. Stacy brings a passion for, and commitment to, providing educational quality and accountability for our schools.

We are fortunate to have someone with Stacy’s background and experience willing to commit her time and energy to this important job.

I hope you will join me in voting for Stacy Johnson Myers on Feb. 19.
