Sharon Theresa Hines, age 58, of Ellsworth, Wis., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Jan. 9, at her home in Ellsworth.
Sharon Theresa (Huppert) Hines was born on Aug. 14, 1954, in Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Leo T. and Rosella (Pechacek) Huppert. Sharon was raised in Ellsworth on her parent's dairy farm, graduating from Ellsworth High School in 1972. Sharon and Alan “Al” P. Hines were united in marriage on Sept. 20, 1975, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (Clayfield) in Ellsworth. After graduation, she began a long and rewarding career at the 3M Company in the Twin Cities. Sharon was proud to claim that she has been with 3M for over 40 years.
Sharon would be described as a firecracker with a zest for life. She loved the company of others while entertaining friends and family. Her faith was unwavering as she was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She has fond memories of her 45 years as church organist at St. Francis and Clayfield. The old saying “behind every successful man is an exhausted woman” would hold true to Sharon. She has stood by Al’s side supporting him and helping with bookwork in his construction business. Being true soul mates, they have been married for 37 years. They have cherished family and friends and loved spoiling their nieces and nephews.
Sharon will forever remain in the hearts of her husband, Alan P.; mother, Rosella Huppert of Ellsworth; siblings, Larry T. (Judith) Huppert of River Falls, Lynn Huppert of Ellsworth, Sharlene (Chuck) Kreye of Ellsworth, and Lon (Julie) Huppert of Ellsworth; parents-in-law, Lester and Joyce Hines of Ellsworth; as well as the entire Hines extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless special friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo T. Huppert.
A visitation for Sharon will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ellsworth, as well as 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ellsworth with Fr. Nathan Thainase and Fr. Roy Witucki con-celebrating. Stacy Henning will accompany the Resurrection Choir. Her godchildren will serve as gift bearers, and her nieces and nephews will serve as casket bearers. Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Francis We Belong to Christ (WBTC) fund.
