St. Croix County Sheriff John Shilts said Jesse A. Marske, 25, who removed his GPS Bracelet and absconded from custody was found in the area of U.S. Hwy. 12 and Brakke Drive about 12:30 p.m., Saturday. Marske has a previous sex assault conviction.

Schilts said Marske was on a work detail in River Falls when he removed his GPS bracelet and fled on foot.

Marske, serving a sentence for disorderly conduct and two counts of failure to support a child, was due for release next month.

New criminal charges are pending, the sheriff said in a news release late Saturday.

Shilts also thanked the public for its cooperation in assisting with Marske's capture.
