Jeanine M. Huppert, age 74, of Ellsworth, Wis., passed away on Aug. 12, surrounded by her family, at the River Falls Medical Center.

Jeanine M. Huppert, age 74, of Ellsworth, Wis., passed away on Aug. 12, surrounded by her family, at the River Falls Medical Center.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1938, in Red Wing, Minn., to Richard E. and Elizabeth (Huppert) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Chester R. Huppert on Aug. 27, 1957, at Big River Catholic Church in River Falls, Wis. This marriage was blessed with four children: Jerome, David, Kimberly, and Barbara.

Jeanine found great importance in her faith. She was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church and enjoyed her Bible study group. She also sang in the Resurrection choir and frequently helped out with projects at church. She enjoyed baking and was known for her delicious cinnamon rolls and cutout cookies. Jeanine was also a member of the Red Hat Society from which many friendships were gained. She was fond of gardening and had a special love for her flowers. Above all, Jeanine cherished her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Jeanine is survived by her husband, Chester; children, Jerome Huppert of Ellsworth, David (Sarah) Huppert of Bay City, Wis., Kimberly (Brian) Cooper of Brillion, Wis., and Barbara Huppert of Madison, Wis.; grandchildren, Marie (Chris) Miller of Darlington, Wis., Amy Cooper of St. Paul, Minn., and Allison Huppert of Bay City; siblings Francis Johnson of River Falls, Mary (Bill) Boston of Stevens Point, Wis., and Peter (Jackie) Johnson of Red Wing; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings James and Betty Johnson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth, 264 S. Grant St., with Fr. Gerald Harris officiating. Visitation will take place from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at church. Interment will be held at St. Francis Cemetery in Ellsworth.
