American Idol Hollywood, fans and family wait to see if Grimm progresses

Coming up is Hollywood week for the American Idol. It is the next time viewers in this area may have the chance to see Reed Grimm perform on national television.

The Ellsworth native made it to Hollywood, from his audition in Pittsburg. This is the fifth time he has tried out for the show which is in it’s eleventh season.

While Grimm was born into a musically talented family, he spent nearly all of his childhood off the road attending schools in Ellsworth. A complete interview with his mother Colleen Raye will be in the February 9 edition of area newspapers along with a gallery of photos from his early years.

American Idol Hollywood airs on Wednesday, February 8 and Thursday February 9th at 7 p.m. CST. Raye is unsure if Reed will appear on stage either night. You will have to tune in to see if the young artist, many of the you watch grow up, makes the Hollywood cut.
