A benefit for Miki Studer will be held Saturday, April 14 starting at 1 p.m. at Mike’s Bay Town Bar and Grill, Bay City.
There will be raffle tickets, door prizes, a silent auction and bake sale.
Studer has been a full-time cook for Mike’s Bay Town for 14 years. She is a widow and lives in Diamond Bluff.
She had a car accident in 1994 that almost completely severed her lower left leg. Her orthopedic surgeon recently recommended a below-the-knee amputation and she had the surgery Jan. 30. A prosthetic device will follow, giving her the ability to walk normally for the first time in a long time.
All proceeds will go to help her pay for a prosthetic leg, supplies and medical expenses.
Donations are being accepted by mail or in person at: Hiawatha National Bank/Miki Studer Benefit, P.O. Box 156/N1555 770th St., Hager City, WI 54014.
