Prescott jazz and pom teams compete in state meet this weekend

The Prescott High School Dance Team will look to add an already impressive collection for the school's trophy case as it will compete in both the jazz and pom routines at the state competition in La Crosse Saturday.

LA CROSSE - The Prescott High School Dance Team will look to add an already impressive collection for the school's trophy case as it will compete in both the jazz and pom routines at the state competition in La Crosse Saturday.

Prescott has already won conference and regional title in both categories. The Cardinals compete in Division 2 in jazz and Division 5 in pom. Prescott's first routine is scheduled to begin at 11:20 a.m. at the La Crosse Center.

PHS goes into the meet the winners of 13 state championships in a row. Persons can follow the team's results online at state meet website www.wacpc.com.

The team is under the direction of first-year head coach Katie Vortherms.
