Update: Two injured in Saturday crash in Pierce County
One woman was seriously injured and another suffered minor injuries when a truck and car collided on a slippery road in the town of Gilman early Saturday evening.
One woman was seriously injured and another suffered minor injuries when a truck and car collided on a slippery road in the town of Gilman early Saturday evening.
Brenda Aamodt, 43, Spring Valley, was extricated from her car and taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul in serious condition, according to Pierce County Deputy Robin Kivel. By Monday morning, Aamodt was listed in fair condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Morgan Lansing, 22, also of Spring Valley, sustained minor injuries and was taken to River Falls Area Hospital.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department report, the accident occurred at about 5:07 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, on 850th Avenue at 330th Street.
An investigation determined that the westbound truck driven by Lansing collided with the northbound car driven by Aamodt.
The accident remains under investigation, but weather and slippery roads were factors, according to the report.
Spring Valley Fire and Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
