Madison ranks 43rd on a new list of the 100 major U.S. cities most addicted to fast food.

Milwaukee ranks 67th, which presumably means it has a larger percentage of places with healthier choices.

Men’s Health magazine rated and graded the cities. It gave Madison a C-minus for its addiction to fast food, and Milwaukee got a B-minus.

Fourteen cities flunked the survey, and Arlington, Texas, was rated the worst. Buffalo, N.Y., was the only city to get an A-plus.

The rankings are based on each city’s number of fast food restaurants per capita, along with obesity rates, and other surveys on the percentage of people who eat at fast food restaurants and how often.

Men’s Health does not suggest that fast-food addicts go cold turkey, just order smarter.
