To kick off the 2010-11 school year, Elmwood FFA officers attended a Sectional Leadership Workshop in Mondovi.
Speaking at the training workshop were several state officers, including Samantha Becker, State Vice President from the Mondovi FFA chapter.
FFA Chapter officers from approximately 20 chapters attended workshops pertaining to leadership responsibilities in their specific office. Other sessions attended included, “Fired up First Impressions,” “Let’s Build A Fire” and “Smokey The Bear Says Have Good Manners.”
The Elmwood students brought back many leadership strategies and skills to share with fellow members. The day was a beneficial learning experience for all who attended.
The Elmwood officer team employed their newly acquired leaderships and planned for the annual fruit, meat and cheese sale. The chapter is trying to be true to the traditional fruit sale supported by the community for many years while adding products that support our local farmers and agribusinesses. Selections from Sailer’s Meats, Eau Galle Cheese and Ellsworth Co-op Creamery have been added.
If you are interested in placing an order, just contact an FFA member or call (715) 639-2711 x6238 by Nov. 29. Orders will be available after delivery during the third week of December.
