Bay City man killed in accident

BAY CITY - A one-vehicle accident outside Bay City Friday evening was fatal for a Bay City man.

Lyle Feenstra, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Pierce County Medical Examiner Sue Dzubay for undetermined injuries. The accident was reported at 9:06 p.m.

The vehicle was heading eastbound on 170th Ave., about four-tenths of a mile west of 670th Ave. in Isabelle Township. It entered a ditch on the south side of the road and struck a tree. Feenstra was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Ellsworth Area Fire and Ellsworth Ambulance assisted Pierce County Sheriff's deputies at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
