Pierce authorities were advised about noon, Tuesday, of a one-vehicle accident, on State Highway 29 near 650th St., in which an occupant was possibly ejected.
Several deputies, along with Ellsworth fire and ambulance personnel were paged to respond and a medical helicopter was put on alert.
Upon arrival, deputies found a man standing in his overturned car, suffering some pain but conscious and able to speak.
After checking the driver's registration, deputies were advised that their subject, Dalon Pearson, 18, River Falls, was wanted on a felony warrant for battery.
Pearson was westbound when he lost control, entered the ditch and overturned, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He was taken to the River Falls Area Hospital (RFAH) by Ellsworth Ambulance. A RFAH spokesperson said Tuesday afternoon that Pearson was still being treated there.
