A head-on crash between a van and a car north of Beldenville late Tuesday morning (Sept. 1) left the five occupants with minor injuries.

Pierce authorities were notified of the Hwy. 65 crash, near 750th St., at 11:47 a.m.

Sheriff's Investigator Doug Ducklow said preliminary investigation showed that a white Chevy van, driven by Richard Ritzinger, 84, River Falls, was northbound and a red Chevy car, driven by Brianna Glisczinksi, 28, River Falls, was southbound when the car crossed the centerline and collided with the van.

Duane O'Neil, 59, River Falls, was a passenger in the Ritzinger van, while Glisczinski had her two children, ages one and two. The five were taken to River Falls Area Hospital, where a spokesperson said Wednesday all have been treated and released.

Ellsworth fire and ambulance personnel responded. Hwy. 65 was temporarily closed for about 40 minutes. Melstorm Towing vehicles were on scene to remove the vehicles.

Ducklow said the accident remains under investigation.
