Board of Education Special Meeting Minutes

Sunday, February 10, 2013

The special meeting of the River Falls Board of Education was called to order on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 6:35 p.m. by President Johnson Myers in the Conference Room at the District Administrative Office, 852 East Division Street. It was ascertained that notice of the meeting had been properly posted in the appropriate locations, faxed to WEVR, and emailed to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and the Eau Claire Leader Telegram.

PRESENT

President Johnson Myers, Vice-President Dennis Behnke, Treasurer Manny Kenney, and members Rich Gerczak, Mike Miller and Alan Tuchtenhagen were present. Clerk Barbara Kolpin arrived at 6:40 p.m.

REVIEW SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH CONSULTANT PROPOSALS AND DETERMINE INTERVIEW AND

SELECTION PROCESS

Invitations for Proposals were sent to eleven Search organizations. Proposals from five firms were received by the February 7th deadline. The five companies are:

Kenneth J. LaCroix, Consultant and Search Facilitator

Dr. Charles Kyte, Associate, School Exec Connect

Ken Moe and Bob Plath, Administrator Search Consultants

Dennis Richards, WASB Search Service Consultant

RD Worldwide, Executive Search & Consulting

Three firms, School Exec Connect, Ken LaCroix and Ken Moe will be invited for 45 minute interviews on Friday, February 15th, 2013, beginning at 2PM. Reference checks will be conducted as follows: Kolpin-School Exec Connect, Miller-Ken LaCroix, Johnson Myers-Ken Moe.

Search Firm interview questions were reviewed. Johnson Myers will compile an updated list of questions for further board review before finalizing the list for Friday’s interviews.

ADJOURNMENT

President Johnson Myers adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m.
