Board of Education Special Meeting Minutes

Monday, January 28, 2013

The special meeting of the River Falls Board of Education was called to order on Monday, January 28, 2013, at 6:10 p.m. by President Johnson Myers in the Conference Room at the District Administrative Office, 852 East Division Street. It was ascertained that notice of the meeting had been properly posted in the appropriate locations, faxed to WEVR, and emailed to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and the Eau Claire Leader Telegram.

PRESENT

President Johnson Myers, Vice-President Dennis Behnke, Treasurer Manny Kenney, Clerk Barbara Kolpin and members Rich Gerczak, and Alan Tuchtenhagen were present. Board member Mike Miller arrived at 6:30 p.m.

REQUEST FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION

Request for an executive session pursuant to Wisconsin state statute section 19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of considering employment for the office of Superintendent of Schools. Motion made by Tuchtenhagen and seconded by Kenney to adjourn into executive session. Roll call vote required.

Johnson Myers-yes, Behnke-yes, Kenney-yes, Kolpin-no, Gerczak-yes, Tuchtenhagen-yes. Motion carried (5-1). The meeting convened to closed session at 6:12 p.m.

RECONVENED INTO OPEN SESSION

Reconvened into open session at 8:37 p.m.

AFFIRM ACTION

Motion made by Kenney seconded by Miller, to affirm action taken in executive session. Motion passed (7-0).

ADJOURNMENT OF OPEN SESSION

President Johnson Myers adjourned the meeting at 8:37 p.m.
