WayWord Players musical auditions next week
The WayWord Company Players will hold auditions for their original musical, “Homecoming” — about a famous singer who, despite overwhelming fame and popularity, is struggling to find happiness with her life, when she returns to her hometown. The story focuses on the purpose of our lives, and how we define success and happiness.
The WayWord Company Players will hold auditions for their original musical, “Homecoming” — about a famous singer who, despite overwhelming fame and popularity, is struggling to find happiness with her life, when she returns to her hometown. The story focuses on the purpose of our lives, and how we define success and happiness.
Auditions will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, and Thursday, Jan. 10, and from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at First Covenant Church, 1374 North Main St. There are approximately 12 main roles available for anyone (male or female) aged 10 and above, additional roles will be added based on the number auditioning. If trying out for a main role, come to the audition prepared to sing.
Rehearsals will be held from 6:30-8:50 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays beginning on Monday, Feb. 4 at First Covenant.
“Homecoming” will be performed at the auditorium at Meyer Middle School Friday, April 26-Sunday, April 28.
