Stewart Zick, 59

Stewart Gordon Zick, 59, of River Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 24, his family by his side, at home.

Stewart was born on Feb. 20, 1953, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of George and Castle (Ryman) Zick. Stewart earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from UW - Milwaukee and his master’s degree in agricultural economics from UW - River Falls.

He enjoyed every day of his life, taking care of his wife and boys and building his home. He gave his time and attention to all of his friends and family. He is at peace riding his motorcycles, throwing horseshoes, and making homebrew for the rest of time. He is in our hearts and minds forever.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Vici Jernigan, River Falls; sons, Alex (Markie) Zick and new grandson, Axton, of Denver, Colo., and Will Jernigan, Minneapolis, Minn. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Stewart’s life will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at his home, W10157 710th Ave., River Falls.
