The dean of the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Dale Gallenberg, has been chosen as president-elect of the American Association of State Colleges of Agriculture and Renewable Resources.
Gallenberg, who has served as an at-large member of the AASCARR’s board since 2009, will assume the group’s top position in the fall of 2013. He has spent the past several years interacting with other officers and directors to help advance the organization, its members and their activities. He also served as the AASCARR representative to the Program Committee for Academic Organization and Policy with the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities; and will continue to serve as the chair of the group’s legislative committee.
AASCARR — which is changing its name to Non-land-grant Agricultural and Renewable Resources Universities, or NARRU — held its annual meeting in River Falls last month.
