William Christenson died Nov. 10 in St. Paul, Minn.

He was the son of Willie and Irene Christenson, born Oct. 7, 1928, in Pierce County, Wis. He went to elementary school in Clay Corner, high school in River Falls, and college in River Falls.

Mr. Christenson was a teacher in rural schools in Pierce County for 2 years. He served in the Army at the 7th Base Post Office in Japan during the Korean Conflict. Then he returned to teaching in Wisconsin, in Grantsburg, and back to college for his degree. After that, he taught in Laona, Wis.; St. James School for Boys, Faribault, Minn.; Evans School, Gary, Ind.; Lakenheath Air Base, England; and Ogilvie School, Minnesota. He retired in 1990 and traveled ever since.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters-in-law.

William is survived by sister, Joyce (Don) Behrens of Cardston, Alberta, Canada; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
