Frisbie 9th at state cross country; Powell 25th
River Falls’ sophomore Anne Frisbie placed 9th with a time of 14 minute, 38.6 seconds in the 4,000 meter Division 1 girls’ race at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships Saturday, Oct. 27, in Wisconsin Rapids. River Falls’ sophomore Anne Frisbie placed 9th with a time of 14 minute, 38.6 seconds in the 4,000 meter Division 1 girls’ race at the WIAA State Cross Country Championships Saturday, Oct. 27, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Wildcat junior Trent Powell finished 25th in the 5,000 meter boys’ race. A total of 190 runners competed in each race.
Hudson senior Ryan Kromer won the Division 1 boys’ individual state title with a time of 15:27.17, over ten second faster than second place McKena Roma of Sheboygan South. McKaela Christenson of Baraboo won the girls’ individual championship in 14:12.65.
Hudson junior Sadie Kroll took 32nd in 15:19.3 to lead the Raiders to an 11th place team finish in the 20-team girls’ competition.
Arrowhead took the girls’ team title while Madison West was the boys’ team champion.
