Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence in partnership with Volunteer Wisconsin, will be hosting a 5K run/walk fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 27, for Make-A-Difference Day on the UWRF campus.
Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress up as heroes — with prizes for the top three. The 5K course will take participants through the UWRF campus and on the trail behind the intramural fields.
Registration will be at 8 a.m. and the run/walk will start at 9 a.m. Registration is $10. Please bring gently used clothes and canned goods to donate — not a requirement to run/walk. Monies raised will go to support Turningpoint help families and individuals in need around the holiday season.
