Public library to host Chaos at the Castle ‘haunted house’

It’s back to Wonderland at the River Falls Public Library’s ‘haunted house,’ but visitors will find that this year’s Halloween adventure is not titled “Chaos at the Castle” for nothing.

It’s back to Wonderland at the River Falls Public Library’s ‘haunted house,’ but visitors will find that this year’s Halloween adventure is not titled “Chaos at the Castle” for nothing.

The annual event kicks off Wednesday evening, Oct. 31, and is geared for children and their families who will love seeing some of their favorite Alice in Wonderland characters.

Child-size entertainment will be provided for those waiting to enter the realm.

Visitors will be escorted through Wonderland in groups, with entertainment and treats provided along the way.

Admission to “Chaos at the Castle” is free.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Halloween evening and close at 9 p.m.

Anyone waiting to enter at that time will certainly be allowed to tour the Red Queen’s realm.

All this is presented by the Haskins family and more than 30 of their friends and coworkers, as well as the River Falls Royal Ambassadors and the Teens Underground theatre group.

Gina Haskins leads the set construction work with her nephew, Paul Haskins.

They also create the plots and scripts along with Gina’s sisters, Jody O’Grady and Katie Chaffee.

Part of the production cost this year was offset by financial support from 3M and the library’s programming fund.
