Letter: Can’t forget these guys
This relates to the National Guard reunion of the 50th anniversary of our service out at Fort Lewis, Wash.By: Peter Muto, River Falls, River Falls Journal
This relates to the National Guard reunion of the 50th anniversary of our service out at Fort Lewis, Wash.
I wish to pay honors and respect to some people who are no longer with us.
Among them:
--Bud Branigan, commander of our local unit,
--Enloe brothers (sergeant major and leader of the survey platoon)
--Jerry Betlach (trained a crackerjack fire direction center — this was the crown of the nerve system of the unit),
--Jim Molitor (in charge of communications)
--George White of Ellsworth (first sergeant of the headquarters battery, and of course,
--Bill Junkman, who kept us well supplied during our service.
