Knights of Columbus invite funding applications
The River Falls Knights of Columbus’ Tootsie Roll drive raised $3,222 during one April weekend. The Knights gave $2,193 to River Falls special-education programs and the rest to state programs to benefit the intellectually disabled.
The River Falls Knights of Columbus’ Tootsie Roll drive raised $3,222 during one April weekend. The Knights gave $2,193 to River Falls special-education programs and the rest to state programs to benefit the intellectually disabled.
The fundraising weekend saw 166 members in River Falls raise an average of $19.22 each and give away more than one million Tootsie Rolls.
The local KofC is accepting applications for funding from the next Tootsie Roll fundraiser. Organizations that work with the intellectually disables are encouraged to apply.
Submit applications to Wisconsin State Council Knights of Columbus, c/o Chuck Simmons, State Chairman, 63476 Lohmann Lane, Eastman, WI 54626. Fifteen copies of the applications must be written on your organization’s letterhead and submitted by Dec. 1, 2012.
Applicants should include the exact amount of money they need, a description of what it will buy and how many individuals will be served by it.
