Wisconsin voters have a new tool to help them get ready for the November election -- a website called My Vote Wisconsin.
In less than two minutes, a voter can go to the new website, myvote.wi.gov, find their polling place location, check the status of their absentee ballot and see a sample ballot.
If someone is not registered, the website has a new tool to get voter registration started.
The new online system is secure, both for the user and for the voter registration system. Anyone using the new online system has to meet the same requirements as people who register in the clerk’s office.
The city clerk’s office will be holding a voter registration drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Dick’s Fresh Market, 1121 South Main Street and Family Fresh, 303 South Main Street, grocery stores.
Voter registration is also available at the public library, 140 Union Street, through Wednesday, Oct. 17.
