Healing and remembrance take flight at River Falls event

Sunshine streamed down, as a nice wind kept kites aloft during the Kids ‘n Kite Music & Word event held on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Highview Meadows Community Park.
Kids and adults were treated to kite flying, with special kites by local kite expert, Anthony Markunas, music by Reed Grimm of American Idol fame, poetry by Thomas R. Smith, speakers including event coordinator Catherine C. Olson and Wisconsin State Senator, Sheila Harsdorf, and more.
