Daniel Michael Gerbec, 23, of River Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 27, in Eau Claire, Wis.

The son of Betsy and Paul Gerbec, Dan was born Aug. 7, 1989, in St. Paul, Minn. He was a graduate of River Falls High School and was in his senior year at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.
He is survived by his parents, Betsy and Paul Gerbec, Kelly Brenna, Terry Lusk; his brothers, Zachary Gerbec, Zachary Brenna, Austin Brenna, and Dylan Brenna; his sisters, Diana (Chris Ragney) Lusk and Maggie (Riley) Moe-Lusk; and his grandfather George Noland. Other survivors include Stephanie Wexler, Haley Field, Andrea Boock, and countless other family members and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Stella Gerbec and Millie Noland.
If you knew Dan, you loved Dan. He never met a stranger and enriched the lives of everyone he met. Dan lived to make others laugh and smile. Dan's life ended too soon, and his family will cherish every happy memory of his wonderful life.
A celebration of Dan's life will take place from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m., led by Fr. Gerald Harris.
