This famous Corvette made an appearance at the Family Fun Fest and All-Vehicle Show held Sunday, Sept. 23 in downtown River Falls. The car is made from different vehicles. The chassis is a 2007 Corvette; the front end came from a 1957 Chevrolet; the back is a 1959 Chevy; and the middle of the car came from a 1958 Chevrolet. Event co-chairpersons George and Jackie La Fave say the car is a “one of a kind,” has earned many awards nationwide and is owned by Gordy and Sharon Cimmiyotti of Iowa. Fun for the day included an ‘Elvis’ sighting and tribute performance and a “Cupcake Bowl” in which the Packers beat the Vikings 225 to 126. Organizers said the show drew about 300 vehicles and that many people commented on how they like the downtown area. Car show participants chose as the $500 overall winner a 1954 Buick Roadmaster owned by John Kranitz of Minnesota.
