The 2012 Laura Ingalls Wilder Days Quilt Show is set for Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8-9, at the "Little House in the Big Woods" on County Road CC in Pepin.

The cabin will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and visitors will hear stories that are associated with the quilt blocks.

This quilt by Jean Elefson of River Falls portrays Laura going out to feed the cow one evening. In addition to the quilt show, events include a spelling bee, craft demonstrations, fiddle contests and a square dance in downtown Pepin.

On Sunday there will be a pancake breakfast held from 7 to 11 a.m., community worship service at 10 a.m., medicine show, tomahawk throwing contest, and a grand parade at 2 p.m.
